The Day After Earth Hour

It's the day after earth hour.. I sit in my kitchen surrounded by boxes of soap and other yummy smelling creations.. I may not have sold out but I met a lot of great people.. sold a bunch of bath bombs.... some soap and suprisingly afew items of jewelry! Earth Hour was a wonderful experience.. kids dancing to super fun drummers, a fire show, a kick ass band... and the hot chocolate was amazing!
I am sending a big shout out to Jaimie-lyn... she was my saving grace last night.. she helped me set up, sell the goods and stayed with me till the end :) Thank you Jaimie-lyn !!!!!

Shiva's Delight and Earth Hour!

Tonight we celebrate Earth Hour.. a time to turn off the lights and pay homage to mother nature! Sit by candle light... enjoy the moment and say a prayer for our kind mother! She is our mother, our home, our ecosystem, she is the earth beneath our feet!

I have been invited to sell my natural soaps and other goodies at Kingston Earth Hour Unplugged.. I will be in market square from 6:30pm till 9:30 pm tonight.. if you are at the event please come by for a visit... Jaimie-lyn (the awesome starfire witch) will be with me helping me out... and it is her brithday!

There will be an off the grid concert with the Gertrudes at 8pm and I have heard rumors of a fire show too! There will be free hot chocolate too!

New Facial Exfoliating Scrubs

Good Day Soap Fans out there !!

The creative juices have been flowing strong and there are many new products on my shelves.. My 2 new favourites are my Facial exfoliating grains and Brown sugar Face Scrub! The Exfoliating facial grains are made of finely ground adzuki beans, orange peel, pumice, honey powder, rice bran, oatmeal and many more gentle exfoliators.. it is 100% natural if you were starving you could even eat them ! How do you use them you ask? well you put about a table spoon of the mixture in your hand then you add just enough water to make a paste.. you then massage it onto you face in circular motions then when you are done you rinse it off.. super easy ! I love how soft my skin is after using them and in this cold weather they are a true skin saver.!
The brown sugar face scrub is pretty special too! It is made with brown cane sugar, oatmeal, apricot oil, extra virgin rosehip oil and sweet almond oil.. you scoop a bit out of the jar and massage it onto your face with small circular motions... it softens, exfoliates and leaves your skin feeling like silk... it smells amazing to because the oils I use are unrefined and full of natural scent and vitamins for your skin! These new goodies are on sale till thursday Feb 17th for $10 per jar! after that they will go back to their regular price of $14 .

Honey Almond Spice Soap!

New Soap time! How does Honey Almond Spice sound to you on this chilly day! This is a lovely soap made with local honey, full of warm spices, cinnamon, clove, grapefruit, frankinsense and more! It even has ground apricot kernels in it for exfoliating. It will be ready in 5 weeks folks. I am also working on a pink grapefruit and chamomile flower soap! Some of my older flavours will be disappearing to make room for these new exciting ones!

A Wish for the NEW Year!

My Wish this New Year is that we all take a little time to make a difference in the world around us. THere are so many ways to do this from simple to big! Something I have been doing is buying 3 to 5 extra grocery items and donating them to the food bank each time I shop! If all of us start doing this it will help the fooodbank feed so very many hungry local families and children...
Take the time to help a stranger, our world has become so rushed that we often forget to notice those around us and those in need! Give a random gift to a random person I promise you it will make you both feel warm inside :) Give thanks for all the wonderful things in your life and find ways to make positive change! We are in control of our destiny so let's make it an awesome one!

One week to go.! If you are still looking for some awesome gift ideas I have lots ! All silver jewelry is on for 50% off till xmas... soaps are 6 for $25 this week. In the new year there will be some changes to Shiva's Delight.. I am going to be cutting back on the number of soap flavors to make it a bit easier to keep up with inventory.. Australian rose will soon be retiring as will black licorice soap.. the Hemp Patchouli Shampoo is also done.. just not enough sales folks. I am designing an awesome new lime shimmer lip balm and I have just made a new whipped orange jasmine shea butter ( its amazing).
